State registration of a trademark involves conducting an expert examination, entering information about the trademark and its owner in the Register of Trademarks and Service Marks of the Russian Federation, which is maintained by the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent).

The advantage of accelerated registration is not only the time to consolidate the rights to a trademark, but also the opportunity to simultaneously protect the trademark abroad, which contributes to doing business not only in Russia owing to the Single Economic Space formed on July 01, 2011. The accelerated registration process allows you to apply for registration in Belarus and Kazakhstan simultaneously with the application in Russia, as it is impossible to build up an effective system for protecting exclusive rights, due to the lack of borders between these states.
